Hawaii Activities | Submarine Ride

Looking for Things to do on Hawaii? A submarine is a fun, safe Hawaii Activity for all ages.

A Submarine Ride is a great way to explore what lies beneath the waters off of Hawaii. Add this fun Thing to do on Hawaii to your list of can’t-miss Activities.

About Submarine Rides:
There are other Hawaii Activities, such as snorkeling and SCUBA diving that let you explore the ocean off of Hawaii, but Submarine Rides are a Thing to do on Hawaii that the whole family can enjoy together, and it’s a fun way to spend an hour during your visit.

SCUBA diving is not something that every visitor can enjoy. That Hawaii Activity requires certification, and not everyone is physically able to SCUBA dive. Snorkeling is another option, but you can only see what is right below the water’s surface. With a Submarine Ride, you can go down 100 feet – all from the comfort and safety of a state-of-the-art vessel.

Atlantis Submarines Kona (808.329.6626) offers these rides on Maui, Oahu, and the Big Island.  The walls of the air conditioned vessel are lined with windows, so every seat has an amazing view. You will have the chance to see all types of marine life such as sea turtles, rays, tropical fish, and more.

Prices are $105 for adults, or $115 for an adult and one child. Additional children are $38. Atlantis Submarine also offers combo tickets that include the Submarine Ride and another Hawaii Activity such as a luau, whale watching excursion, or snorkeling adventure.

The ride lasts about an hour, but you should plan to arrive 30 minutes prior to departure. Tickets can be purchased online or by phone. Same day tickets are available, but they sometimes sell out, so it is best to book your adventure in advance.

Add this fun Thing to do on Hawaii to your itinerary during your next visit to the Big Island!
