Attending a luau is a top Hawaii Thing to Do, and Haleo Luau is one of the best of the Island.
About Haleo Luau:
Once a sacred thing reserved for important family celebrations or to welcome and honor VIPs, luaus are now a form of Hawaii Entertainment. Visitors from around the world come to the Island for a Hawaiian experience and, for many people, that includes attending a luau.
The Haleo Luau, which is offered each Monday night, gives attendees the chance to explore Hawaii’s history through a number of performances. The dancers explore surfing stories, the birth of kings, and much more.
Fireknife dancers, musicians, and other performers bring these stories to life. You’ll have the chance to chat with some of the performers before dinner. They’ll be happy to answer any questions you may have before they take their places and bring the culture of Hawaii to their guests.
The feast is an important part of any luau, and you will not be disappointed with the food at the Haleo Luau. You’ll enjoy an impressive selection of menu items including several appetizers followed by entrees such as Island Style Kalua Pork, Lemon Verbena Salted Island Fish, Chicken and Long Rice, and Pineapple Soy Glazed Beef. Pineapple Upside Down Cake, and Kona Coffee Chocolate Cake are just two of the many desserts offered. A vegetarian menu is also available.
When you arrive, you’ll be treated to a lei greeting followed by the chance for pictures, arts and crafts, and an Imu ceremony. Then you’ll be seated for dinner followed by the colorful and exciting show.
