About Merriman’s Restaurant:
It might be hard to believe, but a few decades ago, if you wanted sweet corn, baby lettuce, and many other produce options on Hawaii, you had to have it sent to the Island from far away. But a few chefs, including Chef Peter Merriman, saw this as a problem, and they found a solution. Now local chefs can find what they need right on Hawaii and at Big Island Dining spots, like Merriman, you can feast on the fruits of their labor.
You can start with an appetizer such as Ricotta Cheese Cavatelli Pasta, Hawaiian Ahi Poke, or Kalua Pig and Sweet Onion Quesadilla. For the main course, Kahua Ranch Lamb, Sauteed Day Boat Mahi Mahi, Macadamia Nut Crusted Monchong, or Waipio Taro and Fresh Lone Palm Chickpea Falafels.
Just the dessert menu is enough to make those with a sweet tooth plan a visit. Velvety Hanakoa Farms Lilikoi Mousse, Caramelized Coconut Crème Brulee, and Maui Gold Pineapple and Toasted Macadamia Nut Bread Pudding are just a few of the options. Pair a cup of French Pressed Coffee with your dessert.
The lunch menu features its own delicious offerings, including some of the favorites found on the dinner menu. This Hawaii Restaurant is also open for brunch with a menu that includes Hawaiian Hogs Ham Benedict, Florentine Benedict, and Guerilla Farm Pumpkin, Kale, and Smoked Bacon Omelet.
Merriman’s has been making both locals and visitors smile for more than 20 years. Make a reservation to enjoy a meal at this Big Island Dining spot during your next visit.
