About Children’s Discovery Center:
The Children’s Discovery Center is a great place for a family outing. This Oahu Attraction offers many activities for every age group. From the tots sensory area to the rain forest adventure station, this is one of the Honolulu Attractions that everyone will enjoy.

Activities cover many interests and include such experiences as the wheelchair exploration. Here your child can experience the limitations of those that rely on a chair as they travel through a maze. Your child will sit in the chair and discover the challenges faced by such a need. This is a great lesson in acceptance and helps children better understand the struggles of others.

The Rainbow World activities focus on world cultures and celebrations. Your child can experience the world as he explores this popular exhibit. Volunteers are available to help enrich the experiences, and to make sure that visitors get the most out of their time at Children’s Discovery Center.

Your Town is a section of the museum that is dedicated to looking at the many helpers in the community.  Children can explore a future as a fireman, a banker, or a mechanic. Older children enjoy sitting as a judge in a mock courtroom, or as an anchor in the news station.

One of the most popular exhibits at this Honolulu Attraction is the Hawaiian Airlines simulator. Your child can dress up as a flight attendant or a pilot. The simulator has real seats and a serving cart ready to serve passengers on this simulated flight.

The Hawaiian Rainbow room looks at island life and features the many ways the native people lived and worked in these beautiful islands over the centuries.  It is a nice comparison to the cultural exploration section. Here, the children explore small huts that depict diverse cultures. You can stamp cloth images in the India hut, make tea in the China hut, or fish in Hawaii.

This is a fun, hands-on learning experience and with lots of colorful replicated artifacts, simulations, and activities. This Oahu Attraction is sure to be a highlight of your child’s visit to Hawaii.
