About Living Art Marine Center:
Designed for children’s groups, the Living Art Marine Center features a myriad of interactive and hands-on Activities.  From the salt water aquariums to the outdoor reef walks, your children will be enamored with the sea creatures and will enjoy learning interesting facts about ocean life. When you’re looking for a family-friendly Oahu Attraction, this is a great choice.

Explore the underwater ecosystem and view over 50 of the Center’s salt water aquariums. The exhibits house ocean fish from all over the world. You will see the most beautifully colored coral reef creatures and learn the value of the reef ecosystems. You’ll also learn how to do your part to protect the ecosystem.

The Aquaponics Garden is a highlight of a visit to the Living Art Marine Center. This exhibit will allow your children to see a sustainable cycle of life in a 2500-square-foot aquarium filled with plants, fish, and bacteria - all working together.

You will also want to tour the Shark Science and Culture area that gives an overview of how sea life, sea creatures, and particularly, the Pacific shark population has an influence on the human culture. Listen to Hawaiian folk stories about these remarkable creatures, and learn how humans can help prevent habitation destruction and keep the sharks of the Pacific safe and viable.

Visit the Discovery Zone and interact with sea stars, crabs, and several other invertebrate at this hands-on display. Go through the Clown Fish breeding section and learn how the fish adapt and breed. See the Opae Ula, the Hawaiian Super Shrimp. This little species has traveled to space with NASA and has remarkable adaptation in any of the Hawaiian waters whether, salt, fresh, or brackish.
