About Waikiki Aquarium:
The Waikiki Aquarium is known by the locals as the window to the sea. With 15 beautifully-designed habitats, you will be able to peer into the lives of several marine creatures. This Waikiki Attraction is a must-visit for the entire family.

One popular exhibit is the Hawaiian Marine Communities aquarium. The exhibit captures the beauty and abundance of the sea life that dwells in the reefs of Hawaii. As a genetic and biologic repository for the creatures that live in the Kāne’ohe Bay, the Waikiki Aquarium holds a few colonies that display some of the rare species that live and thrive in Hawaiian waters.

The Yellow Anthias is rarely seen, but when you visit this Waikiki Attraction you will be able to see this elusive fish. You will also find a Christmas wrasse, with its brilliant and decorative coloring, and the Bluespine Unicornfish, as well as a collector urchin, and some beautiful Potter’s Angelfish.

The Octopus exhibit is a fun feature of the Aquarium. Here you will find the Day Octopus. The Octopus can be seen using camouflage as he propels through the water to feed on the daily offerings of shrimp. The current occupants of this exhibit have even been trained to retrieve treats from a closed jar. Other exhibits include favorites like the coral farm, the green sea turtle enclosure, and the very popular Hawaiian Monk Seal exhibit where you can interact with this endangered species.
