When you think of high fashion, Honolulu probably isn’t the first city that comes to mind. Honolulu Fashion Week wants to change that by highlighting the very best local designers.

About Honolulu Fashion Week:
Sponsored by Hawaiian Airlines, Honolulu Fashion Week seeks to show the world that local designers are every bit as talented as those from other parts of the country and the world. Many Hawaiian designers are very talented and have gone on to find great success all over the world.

This Honolulu Event highlights the best and brightest upcoming local designers and brings some of those who have found worldwide success back home to serve as an inspiration for the next generation of designers.

Unlike Fashion Week Events that take place in other cities, the shows associated with Honolulu Fashion Week are not just for those who work in high fashion. Instead, all of the shows are free and open to the public. The organizers of this Honolulu Event want everyone to have the chance to see the work of the local designers.

Free admission is on a first come first served basis, but if you want to be guaranteed a seat, you can purchase premium tickets for $25. A limited number of these tickets are available for sale, so you’ll want to reserve yours early.

In addition to the shows, you can expect other Events. One such Event is a model search. This search features Roman Young and Bobby Gutierrez from Wilhemina International. Runway classes are also available for those aspiring to be a model.

Other Events, such as accessories shows, and the chance to meet designers will also take place during this Honolulu Event. If you’re looking for Things to do on Oahu then consider attending the 2nd Annual Honolulu Fashion Week.
