About the Honolulu Marathon:
The Honolulu Marathon attracts elite runners, but this Honolulu Event isn’t just for experienced athletes. This Event on Oahu doesn’t have some of the requirements that other top marathons do, so it is perfect for both a first-time marathon runner and one who is at the top of their game.
Many popular marathons have implemented a minimum qualifying time for participants, and those who haven’t met those times in a sanctioned event are not allowed to run. The Honolulu Marathon has no such stipulation. Everyone is welcome to register. Also, because there is no cap on the number of runners, as is the case with many races, you won’t have to worry about entry limits. If you’re a slower runner then take heart in the fact that this Event on Oahu doesn’t have a cutoff time. Everyone who participates will have the chance to finish the race.
One obvious reason that so many people want to participate in this race is because the Honolulu Event boasts some of the best scenery of any marathon in the country. The weather is quite pleasant as well with the average December high a warm 81 degrees.
A Honolulu Event that is held in conjunction with the Honolulu Marathon is the Marathon Expo. This Event on Oahu takes place at the Hawaii Convention Center. It is at the Expo that runners will pick up their race packets. Attendees will also have the chance to learn about health and fitness products, get training tips, and much more.
If you’re coming from out of town to participate in the Honolulu Marathon then arrive a couple of days early. A luau and concert take place the Friday before the Sunday marathon, and all runners are invited to attend.
The Honolulu Marathon is a great chance to get your feet wet in the world of marathon running or to add another medal to your collection from other races. Register today and use this Honolulu Event as an excuse to spend some time on Oahu!
